Common documents

Court papers that may require service.

Assignments can include many types of court-filed documents. The following examples are general and do not determine whether a specific document is eligible or what method of service applies.

  • Summonses
  • Complaints
  • Subpoenas
  • Petitions
  • Notices
  • Court orders
  • Divorce documents
  • Custody documents
  • Small-claims papers
  • Eviction-related court documents
  • Civil lawsuit documents
  • Other eligible court-filed papers

Service requirements depend on the documents, court instructions, applicable law, and circumstances of the assignment. Stubbs Legal Process is not a law firm and does not advise clients on legal strategy or service requirements.

Completion documentation

Proof of service and attempt information.

After successful service, appropriate proof-of-service documentation can be completed and returned to the client by email or another agreed method. Depending on the assignment, this may include an affidavit or proof of service, the date and time of service, and basic service details.

When service is not completed, available dates, times, and basic attempt information may be provided. Additional attempts, updated address details, or coordination with another qualified server can be discussed when appropriate.

Multiple service attempts

Multiple attempts may be performed when required or requested. Attempts can be made at different times or on different dates based on the deadline, location, available information, and agreed scope of the assignment.
